Who Is Responsible for Your Data
unitedau.io, an editorial project based in Sydney, decides how the data described here is used. The site has no gambling function, so it never receives identity documents, card numbers or casino balances.
Details you hand to the UnitedAU casino at unitedau.com, such as your mobile number or ID scans, sit under the casino's terms instead, and this site has no access to them.
Data the Site Receives
When you write to us
Emailing [email protected] shares your address, your words, any name you sign with and whatever files you attach.
When a page loads
The web host and Cloudflare, the network in front of the site, log each request: IP address, browser and device details, the address requested, the time and the page you came from. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser also sends Google its IP address and browser details on each page view. Pressing a /go button creates the same kind of log line and nothing more.
On 28 October 2026 no page carried analytics code, advertising tags or pixels. The site never requests phone numbers, payment data or ID, and anyone under 18 should not send it anything.
Purposes and Legal Grounds
The legal ground column matters for readers whose data falls under the GDPR or the UK GDPR.
| Purpose | Data used, with the legal ground |
|---|---|
| Replying to email | Your address, message and files, under consent or legitimate interest |
| Stopping attacks and abuse | Log entries and request patterns, under legitimate interest |
| Complying with the law | Records the site is legally obliged to keep, under legal obligation |
Nothing here is sold, rented or swapped, and no advertising profile is built from it.
Who Processes Data for Us
Four providers handle data on the site's behalf: the host that serves the files, Cloudflare for delivery and security, Google Fonts for the typefaces, and the mailbox provider behind the contact address. Each works under its own privacy terms, and data may be handled outside Australia under the safeguards those providers publish.
Retention Periods
| Record | How long the site keeps it |
|---|---|
| Email threads | Up to a year after the conversation ends, longer only for an unresolved matter |
| Raw access logs | Up to 90 days, after which they are erased or turned into anonymous counts |
| Correction notes | For the life of the page each note relates to |
Your Rights
The Australian Privacy Principles, part of the Privacy Act 1988, let you find out what is held about you, obtain a copy, correct mistakes and complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Readers in the EU or UK can also ask for erasure, portability, restricted processing or objection.
Send requests to [email protected] with the subject line Privacy. The site confirms who you are before sharing anything and replies within 30 days.
Cookies
No cookie comes from the site's own code. Cloudflare may place security cookies, and the cookie policy lists them.
Breaches and Security
Pages load over HTTPS. A breach likely to cause serious harm would be reported to the people affected and to the OAIC under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Under-18s
The site is for adults. If you think a child has emailed personal details to the site, say so and they will be erased.
Updates
When the providers, the data or the retention periods change, this page changes too, and the date at the top moves forward. The terms of use and the contact page cover everything else.
